Some of you probably know this but I am restating it for importance. All antiperspirants contain aluminum compounds. Aluminum compounds have been linked to Alzheimer's disease, brain disorders, respiratory disorders, and possibly cancer. There is no scientific evidence to show it is directly responsible for causing these illnesses, but after hearing how antiperspirants work I am convinced. Keep in mind you have two types of sweat glands in your armpits and lymph nodes as well. Lymph nodes are connected to a lymph system that flows throughout your body. The aluminum works by absorbing sweat inside the cells of your body, closing off pores from releasing your natural sweat. This metal/chemical is preventing your body from working naturally, now we all know that can't be good.
When switching to a natural deodorant you must "detox" your armpits. This means you may find yourself not so fresh for a week or two. It is important to exfoliate your underarms to eliminate the odor causing bacteria. Get exercising to purge out those toxins! Sweating is the best way to get your armpits back to normal. Its tough but push through it, and don't go reaching for your trusty antiperspirant it will get better!
